How old do I have to be to come to Student Ministry services/events?
Answer:
Our programs, as well as our special activities, are geared toward a particular age group--students who are currently in the 6-12th grades. We discourage students, who aren't currently in the 6-12th grades, from attending these events and weekly services. Just to let you know, our church offers ministries for children and college age students--so no one has to miss out!

Can I bring a friend?
Answer:
YES! As long as he/she is in the 6-12th grades and attends the appropriate service/small group. The more, the merrier! The problem we have occasionally is a person in high school who has a friend in middle school and wants to go in to the same service/small group. Our policy is not to allow this. Please read/see FAQ "How old do I have to be to come to services/events?"

What should I wear to your services?
Answer:
Here's the good news....we made a decision a long time ago to keep things casual. So, you don't have to wear a suit or a dress (even on Sundays)!
What we do ask is that whatever you wear be CLEAN, NEAT, and MODEST. In other words, we discourage students from wearing clothes that are too revealing or that contain distasteful slogans, products, or activities. It is not that we are against the way teenagers dress. We just don't want anything to be a distraction during our services and activities--including what we wear.

Where do you meet?
Answer:
We meet for all weekly, youth services in the Youth Room--the sanctuary of the old First Baptist Church building (across from WH Middle School on Dollarway Road). Unless otherwise stated, we also meet and leave from the back parking lot of this building for any youth events.

Can I attend either of the Crosswalk services on Wednesday nights?
Answer:
We have two Crosswalk services each Wednesday night. Middle School Students (6-8th graders) meet at 6:15 pm and High School Students (9-12th graders) meet at 7:30 pm. We have two services each Wednesday for a reason. The reason for separate services is so that we can continue growing as a Student MInistry. In addition, Brandon covers some subjects differently for Middle School Students than he does for High School Students and vice-versa. The reason is that students in Middle School and students in High School are in two different places physically, emotionally, and even spiritually. There are other times during the week that 6-12th graders get to meet together, such as 1to1 on Sunday evenings.

How can I really know God?
Answer:
Getting to REALLY know God is as simple as ABC...
ADMIT--Step 1
Admit to God that you are a sinner.
Romans 3:23 says that we've all sinned (missed the mark).
BELIEVE--Step 2
Believe that Jesus is the only way to Heaven.
John 14:6 says that Jesus is THE way, THE truth, and THE life and that no one can get to God the Father except by going through Him.
COMMIT--Step 3
Commit your life to Jesus by asking Him to be the BOSS of your life.
Romans 10:13 tells us how to do this. It states that anyone who calls (prays) on the name of the Lord will be saved. In other words, if you are seriously willing to commit your life and to ask God to save you through what Jesus did for you on the cross, you will be saved right now--TODAY.

I admit to you that I am sinner. I've messed up in a lot of ways that I am not proud of in my life. I believe that You sent Jesus, Your Son, to die in my place on the cross...for my sin.
